Urkia

Events

Urkia (ER’ kĪ) is a planet in the universe created by Dregora (king of the gods) and Jareena (queen of the gods). They created the universe, stars, galaxies and planets, but only to this orange star (named Dol) was a planet given that could support life. Urkia was this planet; it is the fourth planet distant from Dol.

There are five races on Urkia: Humans, Asgarth, Surpentroca, Kenokos, and Reedna, one race created by each of the four (major) gods and the (only major) goddess, Jareena. Dreg also created an abomination, when he was blinded with jealousy toward his twin brother (Dregora), known as the Arromian Beasts. These races coexisted for a number of years in peace, but never total peace for they always schemed behind each others' backs for war.

In the long history of Urkia there have been many wars, most between the Humans and Asgarth, and the history is plagued with unsettlement. Until the ordained King of the Asgarth was set on his throne. “He was a Mýthlô born of mortal, the first and only, and he was named by his mother, after the fashion of the Asgarth, Dregoran, which means the one ordained by Dregora,” The Account of Dregoran. This King was a Mýthlô (also spelled Mythlo in Arromian (the more common form)), or spirit, who was prophesied by a prophet of Dregora and under his rule there was peace.

Dregoran's reign lasted exactly one hundred years. The beginning of his rule started what is known as the new age or common age (Marked Serati Era (serati means “After Exodus”)) when the gods no longer set foot on Urkia, but must help their children from afar.

Surface Appearance

Ten years (10 Nerati Era or NE (nerati means “Before Exodus”)) before the reign of Dregoran there was a great earthquake that completely changed the appearance of Urkia. The continent, that was the only continent, was broken and split. Several hundred million people also died as a result of the earthquake. After this those who were left labored to pull their nations back to together, but as it was the people were mixed. Asgarth lived next to and with Humans, Kenokos and so on. This caused a great deal of enmity at the beginning but the people settled down and labored together to rebuild nations and lands.

It was in this Great and Fantastical land of new beginnings that the ordained, Dregoran, pulled the Asgarth back together and settled the land of New Grey-Norf.

Urkia was a smallish, blue-green planet (about the size of Earth just a little bigger) that orbited an orange star, named Dol, in the Quaterinen Galaxy.
